Graduate Program

About this pathway.

The Corson Fiske Graduate program is designed to develop rounded professional advisors — people who understand how tax, legal, restructuring and corporate advisory questions connect in practice rather than in theory. Over two years, graduates rotate across the firm’s core practice areas, working on real client matters from the first week and supported by a dedicated partner mentor throughout.

The program is deliberately small. We hire a handful of graduates each year, and every one of them works directly with partners on genuine client engagements. There are no rotations where graduates sit on the bench watching — if you join the program, you will contribute from the start, and you will be given work appropriate to your development stage.

At the end of the program, most graduates specialise in one of the practice areas they rotated through. Some stay in Australia, some take secondments to our Singapore or Auckland offices, and some move into client-side roles with the relationships and reputation they built during the program. All leave with a foundation that would have taken five or six years to build elsewhere.

What the program includes

• Four six-month rotations across tax, legal, restructuring and corporate advisory (or your chosen specialisation)
• A dedicated partner mentor throughout the program
• Full CA, CPA or CTA study support including paid study leave and exam fees
• Structured technical training delivered by partners and senior managers
• Client exposure from week one — no bench time
• Opportunities to attend client meetings, court appearances and board presentations
• An annual international secondment option to Singapore or Auckland
• Guaranteed role in your chosen practice area on successful completion

Who we’re looking for

We recruit graduates from law, commerce, accounting and finance backgrounds, though we place more weight on judgement and curiosity than on specific degree combinations. Strong academic results matter — but they matter less than evidence of commercial thinking, communication skill and intellectual honesty.

The graduates who succeed at Corson Fiske are those who are comfortable not knowing the answer, willing to ask questions, and genuinely interested in why businesses and the people running them make the decisions they do. If that sounds like you, we would like to meet you.
