AI Advisory

Practical AI strategy and deployment for businesses ready to move beyond pilots.

Technology

Independent technology advisory across AI, data, cloud and cyber.

How we help.

Most organisations are now past the question of whether to use AI and squarely on the harder question of how to deploy it in a way that actually creates value. The gap between promising pilots and production-grade AI is where most transformation programs stall — and where independent advisory matters most.

Corson Fiske advises boards, executive teams and operating leaders on AI strategy, use-case selection, vendor assessment, governance and commercial deployment. We are independent of any AI vendor or platform, which means our recommendations reflect what the business actually needs rather than what our partners happen to resell.

Our approach is deliberately commercial: we start from business outcomes and work backwards to the specific AI capabilities required, rather than starting with the technology and hunting for applications.

Capabilities

  • AI strategy and roadmap development
  • Use-case identification and prioritisation
  • AI governance frameworks
  • Vendor and platform assessment
  • Proof-of-concept to production pathways
  • Responsible AI and risk management
  • Board and executive AI education
  • AI-related M&A and investment advisory

When clients engage us.

The issues that bring clients through our door tend to fall into familiar patterns.

The board wants an AI strategy

Directors need a coherent view on how AI should be approached — and what it actually means for the business.

Pilots are not converting to production

Multiple AI pilots have been run but none have delivered sustained business value. A structured review is needed.

Governance needs to be established

The organisation is using AI but has no framework for risk, approval or oversight.

An AI-related transaction is underway

An acquisition, investment or partnership involves AI capabilities that need to be properly evaluated.

A vendor or SI is underperforming

An implementation partner is failing to deliver. Independent assessment and intervention is needed to protect the program.

A board-level technology decision is pending

The board has been asked to approve a significant technology investment and wants independent assurance on the business case and risk.

What you can expect.

  • A clear AI strategy linked to business outcomes
  • Production-ready use cases with defined success measures
  • Governance frameworks appropriate to the organisation’s risk appetite
  • Board-level clarity on AI opportunities and exposures

Experience where it counts.

Clients engage Corson Fiske because they need advice they can act on — delivered by senior practitioners who understand both the technical detail and the commercial consequences. Every engagement is led by a partner with direct experience in ai advisory.

Our integrated structure means tax, legal, accounting and advisory questions are resolved within a single firm. For clients operating across Australia, Asia, New Zealand or Asia, our office network in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore and Auckland provides consistent advice across jurisdictions.

A refined four-phase method for every engagement.

Corson Fiske applies the same disciplined framework to every matter, regardless of scale. The phases below are not a marketing device — they are the actual structure our partners use to move clients from uncertainty to resolution.

What clients need to know.

Engaging external advisors on any significant matter raises practical questions about scope, timing, cost and outcomes. We believe in being straightforward about each of these from the first conversation.

How engagements typically begin

Every engagement starts with a confidential initial conversation — usually 30 to 60 minutes — in which we listen to the situation, ask the questions needed to understand it properly, and share a view on whether and how we can help. There is no charge for this conversation and no obligation to proceed.

How we scope and price work

We prefer fixed-fee or capped-fee arrangements wherever the scope allows. Where the scope is genuinely uncertain — as in contested matters — we agree hourly rates upfront and provide regular fee updates against defined phases. We do not bill for internal discussions, file opening or routine administration.

Who you will work with

Every engagement is led by a partner with direct experience in the matter type. That partner remains your primary point of contact throughout. Specialist colleagues join the team where their expertise is required, but you will never be passed from person to person or find the partner you hired is no longer on the file.

How we handle confidentiality and privilege

All engagements are subject to strict confidentiality. Where legal advice is being delivered, it is provided through our incorporated legal practice and attracts legal professional privilege. We take document security, information handling and communications discipline seriously on every matter.
