Our strategic direction and leadership of our national practice group is under James Leslie-Watt, the founder and managing partner of Corson Fiske Australia & New Zealand.
James has over 20 years experience as an Insolvency & Intellectual Property professional having worked with many companies providing strategic restructuring and turn around advice and providing specialist legal advice on all aspects of Intellectual property law from brand protection, trade marks, copyright, intellectual property commercialisation and licensing.
James is a qualified Intellectual Property Attorney and a registered Trademark Attorney with the Trans-Tasman Intellectual Property Attorneys Board of Australia and New Zealand, and holds the following post graduate qualifications:
- Professional Certificate in Arbitration (Adelaide University)
- Master of Business Administration, Finance (AIB),
- Master of International Law (Griffith University) and
- Master of Intellectual Property (UTS Sydney).

James is also a member of the Law Council of Australia, Resolution Institute, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Institute of Patent & Trademark Attorneys (IPTA), Lesanz International, Chartered Institute of Trademark Attorneys United Kingdom and International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) and the Australian Turnaround Management Association TMA.
