Corporate Advisory
Strategic counsel to boards and executives shaping the next phase of growth.
Overview
How we help.
Strategy consulting has a reputation problem. Too many engagements deliver polished decks that sit on shelves while the operating reality of the business remains unchanged. Corson Fiske takes a different approach: we build strategies our clients can actually execute, with the financial modelling, operating model design and change discipline needed to move from aspiration to outcome.
Our Business Strategy and Transformation practice works with boards, CEOs and shareholders who are contemplating fundamental change — whether that means entering new markets, exiting non-core businesses, restructuring the operating model, or preparing the business for sale. We bring structured analytical frameworks, but we pair them with the pragmatism that comes from having sat on both sides of the table in transactions, restructures and turnarounds.
Every engagement is led by a partner who has personally guided businesses through the kind of change being contemplated. That experience matters most when the analysis reveals difficult answers — when the honest recommendation is to divest a beloved division, or to reset management targets, or to delay a capital investment. We do not shy away from telling clients what they need to hear.

Client Situations
When clients engage us.
Every engagement is different, but the issues that bring clients through our door tend to fall into familiar patterns.
The business has plateaued
Revenue growth has stalled despite strong underlying demand. We diagnose whether the constraint is commercial, operational or capability-driven — and design the interventions needed to reignite growth.
A major pivot is under consideration
The board is contemplating a fundamental change in direction — a new market, a new product line, or exiting an existing business. We test the thesis rigorously and build the financial case.
Preparation for sale or investment
Owners are considering a sale or capital raise within the next 12 to 36 months. We identify the value drivers, address the issues that would reduce multiples, and position the business for a competitive process.
Performance has slipped
Margins are compressing and management is uncertain why. We conduct a rapid diagnostic, isolate the root causes and deliver an actionable plan with clear accountabilities and timeframes.
A shareholder dispute is threatening the business
Disagreements between shareholders or directors are affecting the business itself. Independent strategic advisory can break the deadlock before it becomes destructive.
Succession planning has been deferred too long
The next generation of leadership has not been identified or prepared. Independent advisory on structure, timing and process is now urgent.

Key Considerations
What clients need to know.
Engaging external advisors on any significant matter raises practical questions about scope, timing, cost and outcomes. We believe in being straightforward about each of these from the first conversation.
How engagements typically begin
Every engagement starts with a confidential initial conversation — usually 30 to 60 minutes — in which we listen to the situation, ask the questions needed to understand it properly, and share a view on whether and how we can help. There is no charge for this conversation and no obligation to proceed.
How we scope and price work
We prefer fixed-fee or capped-fee arrangements wherever the scope allows. Where the scope is genuinely uncertain — as in contested matters — we agree hourly rates upfront and provide regular fee updates against defined phases. We do not bill for internal discussions, file opening or routine administration.
Who you will work with
Every engagement is led by a partner with direct experience in the matter type. That partner remains your primary point of contact throughout. Specialist colleagues join the team where their expertise is required, but you will never be passed from person to person or find the partner you hired is no longer on the file.
How we handle confidentiality and privilege
All engagements are subject to strict confidentiality. Where legal advice is being delivered, it is provided through our incorporated legal practice and attracts legal professional privilege. We take document security, information handling and communications discipline seriously on every matter.
